Keyboard FAQ
All keyboards are slightly different, but the same concept applies.
The process to sync a keyboard typically goes like so:
1. Place working batteries into the keyboard. Make sure the batteries are installed CORRECTLY.
2. Plug dongle into a working USB port on your computer, then allow a few seconds for your computer to recognize the hardware. The dongle will start to blink and you will have approximately FIVE seconds to connect the keyboard.
3. Make one solid depression on the CONNECT button on the keyboard. The blinking light on the dongle should stop blinking.
4. The keyboard should now be functional and synced to the dongle. If keyboard still does not work, then repeat the entire process.
1. Turn on your specific bluetooth device and set the device into a discoverable bluetooth mode.
2. Place new or working batteries correctly into the battery compartment of the mini keyboard.
3. Turn the power switch on the back of the keyboard to the ON position.
4. Give one quick press on the ID button and release. ID button is next to the power switch.
5. After pressing the ID button, the blue L.E.D. pairing light will begin to blink until the keyboard is completely paired to a device or manually turned off.
6. Your specific device will prompt you that the bluetooth keyboard is found and you can continue to pair the keyboard using your device prompt.

Most of the keyboards default with NumLock turned on, so some keys (i.e. U-I-O) will output numbers instead of letters at first. You may have to press “Fn + NumLock” in some cases. Some keyboards have FnLock, so make sure that is not turned on either. Many keyboards also have an ‘auto-sleep’ function to conserve battery life. If this happens, press any key on the keyboard EXCEPT the sync button or trackball/touchpad to wake it up.
